Earlier this year, I decided to turn my 10 year long photography career into my own pet photography business. As a new business owner, there has been A LOT of work on my plate. I knew the big things I knew of the big things I needed to take care of such as establishing my brand, setting up my social media, website, and onboarding process to name a few. But surprise! There is always more. I came across Pet Marketing Unleashed while researching how to create a website while I was struggling with trying to make one from scratch. Once I saw their work, I immediately knew I needed to work with them.
My overall experience with PMU (Pet Marketing Unleashed) has been very smooth and exciting. I opted to do a branding VIP day in conjunction with purchasing the website template from PMU, and I am very glad I did.
First of all, I completely underestimated the value of the website template. I knew that it would help streamline things for me, but honestly the template is just an extra to what you really receive. The course that comes with the website is the real gold. It is immensely helpful to anyone who is just getting started, and gives you much more in depth education beyond just how to use Wix. I absolutely love that the course sets you up for success by giving you an intro guide to set goals and deadlines for yourself. This helps ensure that you become confident with the technology, and complete your website in a reasonable amount of time. I opted to purchase both the website template and the Branding VIP day, since half of my struggle with my initial website building attempt left me staring at miles of work in order to establish my brand's aesthetic.
As for the VIP day, again half of the gold for a new business owner comes from the home work your assigned prior to the VIP day. Filling out the VIP day questionnaires is so helpful for visualizing all of the fine details that are essential for setting up your business brand. It really helped me create a further in depth road map, as well as communicated my visions, wants, needs etc to my designer. As a creative myself, I know that the better you can communicate with an artist, the better result you will get, and WOW was I happy with my results! Emily (IG: @evdesiigns) was great to work with and was fully invested in my vision. She made the process very fun, and really listened to all of my input. She kicked off my VIP day by presenting a generous selection of concepts for my overall brand. This was such a great way to begin the day, and it truly reflected how excited she was to bring my brand to life. The rest of the day continued in a similar fashion, she would communicate with me via Slack, and present me with concepts for the deliverables on my list. The day was made stress free with her communication, dedication, and talent. Once i received my deliverables I was so excited to start popping everything into my website template. I walked away from the experience feeling so excited for Petography and the weight off my shoulders.

One word to the wise- be as detailed as possible in this process (you get what you give). I really feel like it has helped me get what I wanted and needed out of the experience. From the website template, to the VIP day onboarding process, and the VIP day communication. They will deliver a great service, and it is your job to work with what they are providing you with.
